Opportunity North is the flagship placebrand for northern Alberta. Our client is the Northern Alberta Development Council who provide economic and community development direction and supports to the northern 60% of the province. Their mandate includes leading the development of a regional brand that will unite the diverse communities of the north, and that will resonate with young, career and family oriented people who are drawn by the area's rich opportunities. Our first step was to tour part of the region's 380,000km2, talking to people about what makes living in the north work for them. Much of this dialogue was captured on film, and then turned into this genuine, personal reflection of northern spirit that will be used to promote the region.
